Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood located in The West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" area. A lot of people who aren't aware of about the place mistakenly think that the West Island extends westward from Montreal. In fact it is the West Island includes everything westward from Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is often referred to as her birthplace. However, she only stayed there for a short duration. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa, Ontario. Her initial ambition was to be an actor, but after a sudden growth spurt her partners weren't able to dance along with her. In an article written by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. When I grew out of my male counterparts, I gave up. Former dancers often turn to acting, and in the instance of Brugel, it was the result of a recommendation from her drama teacher. She was encouraged to try out for roles in the school's production. The student tried it out, and ended up playing the leading role in Anne of Green Gables. The show led her to receive an Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000, she received her BA in Fine Arts at York University. Over the past 20 years, Brugel's roles on TV and the big screen have been varied. The role of Rita from the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel was the sole Canadian actress in Season 1 and only appeared occasionally.
